Applying as an Individual
So, you're a security guard or technician—how do you get licensed? It’s simple! SIRA requires that all individuals in security roles obtain their own certification. This applies to security guards, supervisors, system engineers, and technicians.
Documents Required for Individuals:
- Passport Copy – A valid passport is necessary.
- Passport Size Photo – A colored and recent passport-sized photo.
- Emirates ID – A clear copy of your Emirates ID, both sides.
- Certificate of Good Conduct – Issued by your home country or Dubai.
- Medical Fitness Certificate – From an approved clinic in Dubai.
But wait, there’s one more important requirement! You need to complete a training program at a SIRA-approved training center in Dubai. Only after you’ve completed the training will you be eligible to apply for your SIRA certificate. Once you finish the course, you’ll get a training certificate that must be submitted with your application. You can also submit the training fee receipt.

Each employee in your company must be individually licensed through SIRA. Employees need to complete specific training, and after completing the course, upload their training fee receipt for the licensing process.

Wait for Approval
After submission, you’ll wait for SIRA’s approval. Once approved, you’ll have to collect your license, officially making your company eligible to provide security services in Dubai.
